Getting started

Where should my phone go?

Lean it on your bag or a stand at hip height, pointed at your hands, and take three big steps back. You, the ball and the whole club need to fit in the picture from takeaway to follow-through. To trace your shots, film from behind, pointed down your target line.

Do I have to press record?

No. Clubface starts recording when you’re set over the ball and stops after your finish, so you can film a whole range session without tapping.

Which iPhones does it work on?

iPhones running iOS 26 or later.

Shot tracing and the club path

Why wasn’t my shot traced?

Clubface only draws a flight it actually saw, and when it can’t, it tells you why. Most often the phone wasn’t behind the ball pointing at your target, the phone moved, the ball was too small to follow from far back, it went out of sight behind you, or the shot stayed low (shots are traced in the air).

Are the lines exact?

The ball’s flight and the club’s path are read from your video by software, and they can be wrong. They show what happened. They aren’t coaching advice.

Does my video leave my phone?

Only when you post it, send a link, or back it up with Clubface Pro. The tracing and the club path are worked out on your iPhone. Videos stored with us also help train the software that reads swings: Privacy has the details.

Clubface Pro

What does Pro add?

Unlimited saved swings, backed up so they’re on any iPhone you sign in to, and space saved on your phone. Filming, tracing, the club path and posting are free.

How much is it?

$4.99 a month or $49.99 a year in the US (the year saves 17%). Prices in other countries follow the App Store.

What happens after 50 swings on the free plan?

Filming never stops. Your newest 50 stay, and the oldest are marked “leaving in 7 days” first, so you can star the ones to keep, save them to Photos, or go Pro. Starred swings leave last. Swings you’ve posted don’t count toward your 50.

How do I cancel or change my plan?

On your iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Clubface. Apple handles billing. Cancel at least 24 hours before your plan renews.

New phone, or reinstalled the app?

Sign in with the same account, then tap Restore purchase under Clubface Pro in Settings.

What if Pro ends?

Your backed-up swings stay for 30 days so you can download them. After that the app keeps your newest 50, and the rest leave after 7 days’ notice.

Your account and data

Who sees my swings?

Only you, unless you post one. Your profile starts private: you approve who follows you, and only they see what you post. You can make it public in Settings.

Can I film my kids?

Yes. Film their swings on your account and keep them, or post them for the people you choose. Accounts are for 13 and older, so younger golfers swing on a parent’s.

Can I turn off comments?

Yes, on any post, when you post it or later.

How do I delete my account?

Settings, Account, Delete account. Your profile, posts, comments and follows go at once, your videos within 24 hours, and any copies kept for training within 30 days. Swings on your phone stay on your phone.

Can I get a copy of my data?

Yes. Settings, Account, Download your data.

How do I mute, block or report someone?

From the menu on their profile or on any post.
